In this volume, three separate contributions address the academic and public debates over fiscal governance of the European Union. They combine different approaches and theories in order to explain, through both quantitative and ideational analyses, the institutional design underpinning these rules. The concluding remarks provide food for thought for possible reforms toward a fiscal union.
