Relision, Science and the Myth of the Framework

This paper deals with the way in which theologians and other defenders of religious views have reacted to criticism during the twentieth century. The author tries to show how relativist  and instrumentalist views supported by modern philosophers under the influence of pragmatism and hermeneutics are used to defend religion against criticism. He criticises all attempts to immunise religions against criticism on the basis of critical rationalism and realism.
