In this article the author, dean of the Pisa University law faculty, draws on his own personal experience of relations with students. In particular, he formulates a series of considerations and assessments on the students currently attending the faculty; on their generally high level of education, their familiarity with new tools such as computers and their attitude to university study. Pera observes how, in comparison with his own generation at the same age, these studens display – often combined together – much greater confidence in certain respects and much greater uncertainty in others.
